Shorthand for WindowsTM
Version 7.x Revision History
Version 7.12c (October 8, 1999)
-
There is a new "Verify Target Window Receives Keystrokes"
in the Preferences box. If you experience very slow
text playback, try unchecking this option to speed
up Shorthand.
Version 7.12 (August 6, 1999)
-
There is a new Tabs checkbox in Dictionary Edit box.
If this box is checked, pressing the TAB key will
insert a Tab character into the Text to Type box instead of
selecting the next button.
-
There is a new Keyword Color button in the Display page
of the Preference box. You can use this button to change
the text color of the keyword column (which is color red by
default) in the Dictionary list box.
-
Registered users can now remove their registration from a
computer by deleting the SH7.LIC file. Shorthand will then
revert back into an unlicensed copy.
-
Pressing a file shortcut key from within Shorthand's Main Window
now works correctly.
-
The Show Shortcut command in the Dictionary menu now works correctly.
-
SHCNV.EXE Version 7.01: This new version of the Shorthand File
Converter Utility fixes a bug in which SHCNV fails to convert PRD
long forms that contain multiples lines with PRD "{accept}" tags.
Version 7.10 (July 9, 1999)
-
The new Suggestion Window displays the nearest matching keywords
as you type.
-
You can now link in entries from other dictionaries into
the active dictionary.
-
There is a new "speed button" toolbar on the Main Window which
allows you to access frequently used functions (e.g. add a dictionary item)
with a single click.
-
Keywords that start with dashes ("-") or apostrophes are
now displayed together in the dictionary list box.
Previous versions had used Window's
"Word Sorting" feature which essentially ignores dashes and
apostrophes when sorting.
-
Fixed bug in which Shorthand did not correctly simulate the
"=" and "-" keys with the @KEY tag.
Version 7.02b (April 6, 1999)
-
Fixed "Access Violation Error" which may occur if you uncheck the AutoReplace
box and restart Shorthand.
Version 7.02 (April 1, 1999)
-
Picklist items can now hold strings with more than 255 characters.

Fixed bug in which input forms did not receive focus in certain situations.

now limited to a maximum of 80 characters.

The SHIFT key was being enabled if you right click on the Shorthand icon
without choosing any of the menu options. This has been fixed.
